Water Heater Rebates
Did you know that the second largest energy user in the home is typically the water heater?
Our water heater rebates put cash in your pocket now and offer energy savings throughout the lifetime of the equipment. Rebates are available for standard, tankless or heat pump water heaters. Xcel Energy offers five tiers of water heater rebates.
Rebates up to $450 are available to Xcel Energy residential customers buying qualifying, new high-efficiency, natural gas or electric water heaters. In 2011, we added an electric heat pump water heater option for electric only Xcel Energy customers.

- Standard Natural Gas Water Heater .65EF - $70
- Standard Natural Gas Water Heater .67EF - $90
- Tankless Natural Gas Water Heater .82EF - $100
- Electric Heat Pump Water Heater - $450

Almost all contractors in our service area will have information and application forms for this rebate program. If your contractor doesn't, call us at 1-800-895-4999. You can also download the 2012 form and print it yourself. Be sure to keep a copy for your records.
