If you're an Xcel Energy electric customer, for just a couple of extra dollars on your electricity bill, you can purchase renewable energy for your home or business. The energy is generated above and beyond state mandated levels, meaning that your purchase directly supports more renewable energy in the region which helps:
- Reduce our dependence on fossil fuels
- Decrease your impact on the environment for future generations
- Support local renewable energy development
You can get started by buying one 100 kilowatt-hour block of renewable energy for just $1.20 per month over the charge you already pay for electric service. Or you can choose to purchase up to 100% of your electricity use for less than $10 per month.* We require a one-year commitment and your Windsource premium shows up right on your monthly energy bill.
By participating in Windsource, you'll join Xcel Energy and our more than 60,000 residential and 1,300 business customers who are part of one of the nation's largest voluntary green power programs. All Windsource energy is provided above and beyond our other legal and regulatory mandates.
