Energy Efficiency Saver's Switch

It's like taking money out of our pocket and putting it in yours.

It's a very cool program from Xcel Energy designed to manage air conditioning use during the hottest days of the year! Earn $24 easily. All you do is sign up below...you'll receive a $6 credit on your June through September energy bills each year you participate! We'll do everything. Once you sign up, Xcel Energy will attach a small device to your central AC unit outside of your house that cycles it on and off for short intervals during the hottest days. You don't even need to be home for the installation.

Your furnace fan stays on, circulating cooled air; so chances are you won't even notice Saver's Switch working. But if you feel your comfort has been compromised, you are free to opt out of the program at any time.

You can now purchase renewable energy for your home or business!

If you're an Xcel Energy electric customer, for just a couple of extra dollars on your electricity bill, you can purchase renewable energy for your home or business. The energy is generated above and beyond state mandated levels, meaning that your purchase directly supports more renewable energy in the region which helps:

Reduce our dependence on fossil fuels
Decrease your impact on the environment for future generations
Support local renewable energy development

You can get started by buying one 100 kilowatt-hour block of renewable energy for just $1.37 per month over the charge you already pay for electric service. Or you can choose to purchase up to 100% of your electricity use for less than $10 per month.* We require a one-year commitment and your Windsource premium shows up right on your monthly energy bill.

By participating in Windsource, you'll join Xcel Energy and our more than 60,000 residential and 1,300 business customers who are part of one of the nation's largest voluntary green power programs. All Windsource energy is provided above and beyond our other legal and regulatory mandates.
